In-Row Precision Air Conditioner

In-row · inverter · fully sensible

Even a fully liquid-cooled hall still has air-cooled load: PSUs, network gear, storage, and the room envelope itself. Rack density has made that remainder too concentrated for a perimeter unit at the wall — by the time the air has crossed the room it is neither cold enough nor where it was needed. Standing in the row instead, these units read the heat in front of them and answer it in seconds, 7 × 24, with cabinet inlet temperature held rather than chased.

  • Cooling next to the heat

Sitting in the row, it blows horizontally straight at the rack faces. The air path is short, so less fan power moves the same heat and less cold air escapes into the room on the way.

  • Fully sensible

Rated sensible capacity equals total capacity across the range — every kilowatt goes into cooling servers, and the unit is not dehumidifying then re-humidifying against itself.

  • Inverter, 20 – 100 %

A DC inverter compressor tracks the actual load instead of cycling on and off around it, which is where the run-cost saving comes from.

  • Backs up its neighbour

Units in the same contained aisle stand in for each other: if one fails, the others lift output to cover the gap.
